Anthony Banks is a Lockheed Martin Senior Fellow and corporate Ergonomist working in Lockheed Martin’s Environment, Safety, Health, and Sustainability (ESHS) organization. Anthony is the occupational ergonomics and human factors technical and functional
lead for the Enterprise and is responsible for supporting the application of human factors/human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine interfaces, systems, and processes, as well as guiding the overall
direction of the ergonomics function within Lockheed Martin. Anthony carries with him over 20 years of practice in various disciplines of safety engineering, industrial hygiene, design engineering, lean manufacturing, and ergonomics, providing technical
and programmatic support to various governmental and Fortune 500 organizations. Anthony has previous experience as a Corporate Ergonomist and Worldwide Electrical Safety Leader for Eastman Kodak Company and Human Factors and Occupational Health Risk
Assessment Section Chief for MACTEC Engineering and Consulting. Anthony earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Science, with concentration in industrial engineering and human factors engineering and ergonomics, and a M.S. in Industrial Engineering, both from
Louisiana State University. He also has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a registered Professional Engineer, Certified Professional Ergonomist and a Certified Safety Professional.
