Michael works as a multidisciplinary engineer in ERM’s Climate, Sustainability, and Transactions group, also supporting ERM’s Environmental Regulatory Compliance teams with expertise in GHG, water-related, and engineering services. He primarily focuses on enterprise wide GHG management, partnering with some of the globe’s largest energy companies to operationalize inventory accounting and transform GHG data from a risk to a valuable KPI for differentiation of business operations and products. He has served as a technical lead in such scopes as carbon capture and sequestration, assurance readiness, target setting, abatement strategy and implementation, MACC development, product carbon footprinting, carbon accounting (all scopes/categories), ESG/EHS risk assessment, carbon crediting, and corporate climate governance. Michael also serves as the Global Lead for ERM’s Energy & Climate Change Technical Community, as well as an Account Manager for a global energy client. Michael graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and an M.S. in Civil Engineering with an Environmental Science-Toxicology graduate minor. He maintains his PE licensure in Environmental Engineering in numerous Gulf states and he is actively involved in pro bono projects through the ERM Foundation and Engineers Without Borders. He has performed project work in over 30 countries, and is based in New Orleans, LA.
