Ellis A. Jones

Ellis A. Jones, VP & Chief Sustainability Officer, has been with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 32 years. Ellis leads Sustainability, Environmental, Health, Safety, and Business Continuity. Ellis was Manufacturing Director Race Tire Manufacturing in Akron, OH and led the lean cultural transformation in Race Tire Manufacturing. Throughout his career, Ellis has led organizational transformations in Regional Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance, Global Marketing Finance, Plant Accounting, and Commercial Tire Finance. Ellis was recently elected as an independent director of TimkenSteel. In addition, Ellis has been a board member for several non-profit organizations and is currently on the board of directors for The First Tee Greater Akron. Ellis enjoys helping young adults reach their leadership potential. Ellis serves as Goodyear’s executive sponsor for the All-Akron Student Engineering Program, developing and leading student workshops designed to help high school student develop leadership skills. Ellis is also an executive coach working with MBA candidates at the College of Charleston. Ellis joined Goodyear in 1989 after graduating from Hampton University with a degree in Accounting. In 2015, Ellis received his master’s degree in Business Operational Excellence from the Fisher School of Business at The Ohio State University. Ellis is married to Brenda Jones and is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
