Rob has wide ranging EHS experience including, Safety, Process Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Environmental at manufacturing and R&D facilities with site, corporate, technical and managerial roles. He has developed and implemented innovative KPIs, exposure reduction and process safety solutions, implemented programs and practices that improved culture, and created industry leading performance using Human and Organizational (HOP) principles which were also adopted in other business functions. In his current role, Rob is responsible for EHS leadership, program development, implementation, compliance and managerial oversight for Tesla’s North America Manufacturing facilities and Sales Service and Delivery centers.

Rob is a member of ORC/NSC’s global EHS committee which identifies and develops leading EHS ideas, metrics and programs such as fatal and serious injury reduction/elimination as well as developing the next generation of EHS leaders.

Rob has a B.S. in Environmental Science and a Master’s of Science in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering and he is also a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Rob has over 25 years of EHS experience most of which in the pharmaceutical industry between his previous position at Allergan (formerly known as Actavis and also Watson) where he was the EHS Director of America’s, Barr/Teva where he has held levels of increasing responsibility and at Merck where he was responsible for Safety and Industrial Hygiene Activities for Bioprocess and Chemical Engineering R&D. Prior to his pharmaceutical EHS experience, Rob was an EHS consultant for a few years.
