Cristian Rodriguez

Cristian is a Senior Leader brining over 25 years of experience an in-depth understanding of a wide range of safety, environmental, social and governance issues including mental health and employee well-being.

As Vice President of Safety, Sustainability and People at Wajax, Cristian leads a team of 34 professionals and is responsible for the company’s Environment, Health and Safety, and Sustainability strategies. During his time with Wajax, Cristian has been integral in the development and establishment of key EHS and Sustainability initiatives dramatically reduced workplace injuries, transforming Wajax into a company with industry leading safety performance. Wajax is a publicly traded Canadian company providing industrial products and services, with more than 120 locations nationally.

Cristian holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a Certificate of Risk Management and most recently obtained a certificate of Specialization In Business in Society. His professional accreditations include Canadian Risk Manager (CRM), Environmental Professional (EP) and Certified Health and Safety Consultant (CHSC).

Wajax received the Excellence Canada Certificate on Mental Health at Work in 2018 and received the 2019 CMHA Workplace Excellence Award for advancing workplace mental health in Canada. In 2022 Wajax received Gold Level Awards of Excellence for Healthy Workplace and Mental Health at work also from Excellence Canada.
