Anna Pierce is the global EHS Compliance Assurance Manager for the GE Power and Water business. She is responsible for EHS Management System and Compliance program development, auditing and associated metrics. Anna also leads the OneGE initiative, which provides consistent EHS programs for all services work performed by GE businesses with common customers - GE Power and Water, Oil and Gas and Energy Management.Anna began her career with the General Electric Co. in 1999 as an intern and co-op in the GE Transportation business in Erie, PA. She spent five years in the business as an EHS Technical Advisor, assuming roles of greater responsibility while gaining expertise in the manufacture, assembly, test and new product development of traction motors, engines and locomotives. In 2005, she joined the former GE Energy business as an Environmental Lead in the Parts and Repairs division, managing air, hazardous waste and dangerous good shipment programs for 78 global service centers. In 2007, Anna took the role of EHS Simplification Manager for the former GE Energy Services business focusing on incorporating lean principles into EHS and building synergies with the Quality organization. In that role, Anna began leading the customer focused OneGE initiative that she continues to lead today. In 2010, she accepted her current position as the EHS Compliance Assurance Manager.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, a minor in Environmental and Occupational Science and Health and Master's in Business Administration from Gannon University. She also maintains accreditation as a Certified Safety Professional from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
