Lina Azuero

Lina is a senior executive passionate about finding ways to transform business operations by integrating sustainability principles at the core. As Chief Sustainability Officer for Unified Global Packaging Group and Rand Whitney Container, Lina oversees the development and integration of the sustainability strategy and approach into overall business strategy, as well as the execution of all supporting programs and initiatives across the organization.

With over 26 years of professional experience, eighteen of those in sustainability, Lina has focused on advancing sustainability, environmental and social corporate practices using data-driven and science-based approaches. Throughout her professional career, she has successfully led cross-functional teams to set up and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives in multiple areas including sustainability reporting, ESG ratings, supply chain sustainability operations and circularity in the packaging, life sciences and technology sectors. Prior to this, she served as sustainability consultant for over 8 years, where she advised a variety of organizations on sustainability strategy, sustainability and environmental management systems and sustainability reporting.

Lina was born and raised in Colombia and has been living in the Boston area for the past 22 years. She holds a master's degree in sustainability and environmental management from Harvard University Extension School, and a bachelor's degree in business and management from La Sabana University, Colombia.
