John F. Novotny joined Corning as director of Environmental Compliance & Control, MT&E, in June 2016. Novotny is responsible for the oversight, strategic development, and management of Corning's global environmental programs and activities.

Prior to assuming his current position, Novotny was an executive-level environmental engineer for Arcadis, an engineering firm headquartered in the Netherlands, where he led environmental engineering, compliance, and health and safety for global clients. Previously, Novotny served in various global environmental, health, and safety roles for Honeywell and General Electric Company.

Novotny earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and a board-certified environmental engineer through the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
