Kiran Thirumaran is a research staff at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) with a focus on industrial energy and water efficiency. Kiran holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU) and has more than 8 years of professional experience. He has led the development of numerous tools and resources used by DOE’s Better Buildings/Better Plants program and regularly leads local and international training workshops on industrial energy efficiency.
