Rochelle Routman is a visionary C-suite executive and pioneering sustainability leader best known for identifying industry disruptions that dramatically elevate brands and increase stakeholder value. Internationally recognized as a savvy leader and influencer, Rochelle ignites enthusiasm for advancing corporate sustainability innovation and ground-breaking results. Her technical savvy and extensive experience enable her to understand future risks and opportunities across the ESG spectrum.
Currently, as Chief Sustainability and Impact Officer at HMTX Industries, a global flooring manufacturer, Rochelle has launched a unique strategy encompassing social justice, green construction, greenhouse gas reduction, ESG reporting, energy efficiency and verified carbon offsets. She has also led efforts to eliminate use of harmful chemicals in consumer products ensuring safer, more eco-friendly options.
Rochelle draws from her education in earth sciences and her passion for ecology and human health and is a staunch supporter of those that are taking action to address pressing environmental and social justice issues. A winner of the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award (WSLA) in 2014, Rochelle established the WSLA Alumnae Group in 2017 comprised of previous winners, and she is now President and Chairperson of the Board. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and has a membership of close to 100 of the most accomplished and influential women in the field, with global representation.
Rochelle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, followed by a Master of Science degree in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a LEED Accredited Professional (O+M), and a Professional Geologist. She is a lifelong learner of corporate reporting, sustainability, and impact.
