Doug Mazeffa is the Sustainability Director for Lincoln Electric and a leading expert in Life Cycle Assessment, product stewardship, and corporate sustainability. Doug has extensive expertise in the development and publication of sustainability disclosures, Product Category Rules, Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). Prior to joining Lincoln Electric, Doug held leadership roles in an international building product manufacturer and with a Fortune 200 chemicals company. Doug’s sustainability efforts have won both industry and company awards. He is also a highly sought-after speaker, including lecturing at over a dozen Universities as well as keynoting or presenting at numerous national conferences, webinars, radio shows, and television programs. Doug has been cited as a sustainability expert in major media outlets such as BBC, CNN, USA Today, and CNBC.
Doug acquired his master’s degree in Corporate Environmental Management from the Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management and completed his undergraduate work at Miami University. Doug’s strong collaboration skills are evident in him having chaired or vice-chaired over a dozen committee across organizations such as the American Coating Association, US Green Building Council (USGBC), Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), and the drafting committees of almost a dozen sustainability standards.
A former All-American and national chess champion, Doug presently resides in Cleveland, Ohio with his wife and two kids.
