Mitchell Skolaris is the Sustainability Engineer at Advance Auto Parts, where he specializes in carbon accounting, energy and sustainability regulatory compliance, energy efficient projects and design, and emission reduction initiatives. He is a certified Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG accountant. Mitchell’s work directly impacts the companies ESG activities and annual report.
Prior to joining the Advance team, he worked with Energizer Holdings Inc. on product Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) and the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA) on customer engagement. He graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Environmental Science, Quantitative Energy, and Economics. He is a three-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
In his free time, Mitchell can be seen training for marathons on Raleigh’s greenways, exploring the local food scene, or cheering on the Tarheels towards another national championship. Mitchell also regularly volunteers at Table, a charity connecting stores and farmers to locals needing fresh food.
