John Englander to Present at the 2013 EHS Management Forum: Sea Level Rise Poses Threat to Business Continuity, Coastal Infrastructure
Mr. Englander is the best-selling author of "High Tide on Main Street", which describes how coastal flooding from melting glaciers will alter communities, damage infrastructure and interrupt business continuity. His presentation at NAEM's annual conference on Oct. 23 in Montreal will outline these issues and offer practical steps businesses should take to prepare.
"Sea level rise is a reality that's going to impact everyone," said Virginia Hoekenga, Deputy Director of NAEM. "John makes a compelling case for businesses to understand this risk and incorporate "intelligent adaptation' into their long-term operational plans."
She noted that Mr. Englander's message fits within NAEM's long tradition of inviting thought-leaders from across disciplines to address the membership. Past Forum keynotes have included Paul Hawken, Peter Senge, John Elkington, Andrew Winston, Daniel Goleman and Andrew Savitz.
