Amy Martinez serves as a Client Program Manager within APTIM's Compliance and Permitting Division, assisting commercial, industrial, and state and local clients to identify and implement innovative strategies and solutions on a variety of environmental compliance issues. Ms. Martinez has 15 years of experience in all aspects of environmental permitting and compliance with an emphasis on California environmental regulations.  Her technical experience includes federal and state regulatory compliance assessments and audits; hazardous materials management; hazardous waste management; solid waste management; storm water management; air quality management; and spill prevention, control and countermeasure (SPCC) planning. Ms. Martinez has expertise in California Hazardous Materials Business Plans (HMBPs), interacting with the California Unified Program Agencies (CUPAs) and Air Quality Management Districts on behalf of clients, developing and executing waste characterization audits, and overseeing hazardous waste transportation and disposal services.

Additionally, Ms. Martinez serves as a seller-doer within her corporate business unit, directly affecting the revenue, profitability, cash flow, and repeat business in her region through her ability to develop client relationships and lead teams in successfully delivering services to her clients. She represents the company to clients and maintains client relationships, often solving complex problems with innovative solutions. She is responsible for overseeing the regional financial performance against forecast, tracking accounts receivable, monitoring project performance, assisting project managers with financial aspects of projects, and evaluating project bid opportunities.

Amy holds a Masters of Arts degree in Environmental Policy from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Economics from Dickinson College. She is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), a member of the Alliance of Hazardous Materials, and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute.
