Brian Burnikel is a Senior Manager in Boeing's Enterprise Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Organization for The Boeing Co. In this role, he is responsible for leading the implementation of common systems, processes, and tools for various Environmental
areas focused on embedding EHS into the business. Mr. Burnikel's responsibilities also include oversight and daily management of the company's 4-walls environmental performance targets, as well as other external data collection and reporting such as:
hazardous waste generation and disposal, greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous materials inventory, and material safety data sheets. He also serves as skill leader for the EHS discipline within Boeing's Enterprise EHS Organization where he leads efforts
to attract and retain EHS talent to meet the evolving needs of the business. Mr. Burnikel joined The Boeing Company in 1997 and has worked in various capacities outside of EHS such as Industrial Engineering and in Manufacturing as a First Line Supervisor.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Idaho, and Masters of Science degree in Technical Management from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is also a Certified Professional in Disability Management, certified as an
Accelerated Improvement Workshop (AIW) Facilitator, and is trained as a green belt in 6-Sigma. Mr. Burnikel serves on the Board of Regents for NAEM, is a member of Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI)'s EHS Council, and represents
Boeing within one of the International Aerospace Environmental Group (IAEG) Work Groups focused on developing Greenhouse Gas accounting and reporting standards for the Aerospace Industry.
