Christopher J. Cooley

Mr. Cooley is responsible for directing the Port Tampa Bay’s environmental compliance and marine construction permitting programs; and managing assessment/remediation projects that includes Brownfield redevelopment projects. Mr. Cooley has over sixteen years of professional experience that includes environmental site assessments, wetland impacts and mitigation, rule writing and analysis, court certified expert witness, development and land use, and interagency coordination. Mr. Cooley is a graduate of the University of South Florida and represents Port Tampa Bay at the Florida Ports Council Seaport Environmental Managers Committee, Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council’s Agency on Bay Management, Tampa Bay Local Emergency Planning Committee, and the Interagency Migratory Bird Protection Committee. He is a member of the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals, Florida Brownfields Association, and serves on the Management Board of the Tampa Bay Estuary Program and the Board of Trustees for Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful.
