David Dilk is the Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert for North America at Givaudan Fragrances Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing and managing the North American Regulatory Affairs strategy. This involves working with external stakeholders, internal customers, and regional regulatory bodies on regulatory and legislative advocacy matters. He handles issues relating to State and Federal Government Affairs, from working with legislators on bills or regulations through to implementing the new regulations internally at Givaudan. He also works with their Trade Associations on Regulatory & Government affairs issues. Finally, he works closely with retailers on their sustainability and chemical management policies. Also, he is the Chairman of CSPA's (Consumer Specialty Products Association) Retail Engagement Work Group, which is tasked with finding ways to collaborate with retailers on various issues relating to regulatory, chemical management, ingredient disclosure, sustainability, and other related topics.
David has worked in Regulatory Affairs for 6 years, mostly in the CPG industry. He started his career in 2012 at Reckitt Benckiser as a regulatory compliance officer. In that role, he worked on issues related to ingredients, SDS's/GHS, ingredient disclosure, retailer programs, and the WERCsmart System. After RB, he moved to L'Oreal USA as Senior Manager of Product Stewardship. In this capacity, he continued to work with UL/WERCs and our retailers on issues such as hazardous waste, ingredient disclosure, and sustainability. He started at Givaudan Fragrances in 2017. David graduated college in 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College.
