Dr. Steve Schein
Author of “A New Psychology for Sustainability Leadership”
Steve Schein is a sustainability leadership educator, researcher, corporate strategist, and executive coach, who is passionate about helping leaders and teams tap into their deeper motivations to cultivate mission driven organizations and strategic partnerships across boundaries. His recent book "A New Psychology for Sustainability Leadership" focuses on the development of ecological and post-conventional worldviews in the setting of multinational corporate leadership.
Mr. Schein is the President of L4S Consulting where he uses his unique blend of experience as a former CEO, CPA, and business professor to help organizations integrate sustainability into their strategy and improve long-term performance. He teaches sustainability leadership in several graduate programs and from 2005-2015 was a member of the faculty at Southern Oregon University from 2005-2015, where he founded the certificate program in sustainability leadership.
He holds a PhD in Human Development and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Net Impact and the GEOS Institute.
