Elsie Rivera Palabrica
Risk Management Lead, Global Procurement - Sustainability and Risk
Roche Holding AG
Elsie leads the Supplier Risk Management team for Roche Global Procurement. This relatively new team is establishing a new framework, tools and approach to understanding, measuring, and mitigating risk – from financial health and operational performance, to security and sustainability. Her team has oversight of Roche’s supplier sustainability audit program (ethics, human rights, labor/safety, environment, etc.) and is active in event response and crisis management.
Prior to joining Roche, Elsie led environmental sustainability at Eli Lilly, worked as a Principle Consultant for ERM’s sustainability practice, and spent 15 years with Abbott Laboratories’ corporate EHS team. At Abbott she established and managed the first global EHS audit team and later led the development of Abbott’s first full-scope corporate citizenship (sustainability) reports. Elsie has a University of Illinois at Chicago degree in mechanical engineering.
