Emily Mushlitz

Ms. Emily Mushlitz is a Senior Lead Consultant with Ramboll, which she joined five years ago after completing her Bachelor of Science in Geology from the College of William and Mary, where she conducted research on paleoclimatology. Ms. Mushlitz has supported multiple Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy projects for the pharmaceutical industry, has conducted ESG due diligence reviews for a variety of clients and industries, and performed a number of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and limited compliance reviews for industrial and commercial facilities to assess environmental liabilities. Additionally, she has conducted and managed a range of subsurface investigations for a variety of contaminants, including PFAS, to determine nature and extent of contamination and evaluate remediation options, has assisted with projects focused on climate adaptation and mitigation in vulnerable coastal communities, and has contributed to impact assessment reports.
Outside of her technical project work, Ms. Mushlitz also focuses on promoting diversity and inclusion within Ramboll offices locally and globally. Locally, she has hosted discussion groups, provided educational lessons, including providing diversity and inclusion moments for group meetings, authored and edited newsletters, organized volunteering efforts, worked towards more diverse hiring, and encourages open dialogues around the office and within project teams. Globally, she co-led an external communication and services sub-committee that was focused on using diverse suppliers and worked towards additional volunteering efforts. Additionally, Ms. Mushlitz is currently assisting with a new Women’s Leadership Initiative in the Northeast at Ramboll, which is working to empower women to become stronger leaders through mentoring and professional development.
