Gary Williams is currently the corporate Director for Environment and Compliance within the Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Department for Ecolab, Inc. - a global $14 billion specialty chemical company with 47,000 employees in over 170 countries.
In this capacity he is primarily responsible for the successful operation of the corporate SH&E auditing program; implementation of corporate policies, such as waste management; and for providing advice and assistance to operations on environmental and safety matters.
Previously, Mr. Williams provided EHS consulting services to a variety of industries for over 18 years, most recently with Environmental Resources Management. Earlier in his career, he was an Environmental Vice-President at Waste Management, Inc. and a Director for water quality planning and standards at US EPA.
Mr. Williams holds a BS is Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (BEAC), a Registered Professional Engineer (PE), and a former President of the Auditing Roundtable.
