Jerry has 27 years of experience with hard rock mines and industrial facilities worldwide to protect the environment and ensure continuous compliance with all legal requirements. He started in the mining industry as a Process Engineer with a focus on water, energy and process improvement. He later became Environmental Manager, and served as Utilities Manager with operations responsibility for power generation and water treatment facilities. When smelter operations ceased in 1999, Jerry led closure and remediation efforts at the site.
Since 2005, Jerry has served as Director of North American Environmental Operations in the Corporate Environment and SD Department. As Director, he drives leadership and professional development of a team of over 125 professional engineers and scientists who have delivered a remarkable compliance record. Additionally, he has developed leaders that have moved on to serve other higher-level leadership roles in the company, including one General Manager.
