Heather Foran

Heather Foran is currently the Assistant General Counsel for Ethics and Compliance at Ingersoll-Rand plc. In this position, Ms. Foran is responsible for handling global environmental compliance matters in addition to conducting internal investigation and providing training and guidance on general Ethics and Compliance matters. Heather is also responsible for drafting and enforcing Ingersoll-Rand plc's document retention policy and procedures. Ms. Foran was previously Assistant General Counsel for Litigation at Ingersoll-Rand and focused on managing the company's commerical litigation docket.

Prior to joining Ingersoll-Rand plc, Ms. Foran was a senior associate in the New Jersey office of Latham & Watkins where her practice focused on complex environmental litigation, as well as permitting and compliance issues. At Latham & Watkins, Ms. Foran represented major corporations in New Jersey Spill Act and Superfund litigation, including contractual and statutory indemnification proceedings.

While at Boston University School of Law, Ms. Foran interned with the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region 1 working on Clean Water Act and Clean Air Act permitting, in addition to Brownfields redevelopment projects. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Foran worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Executive Office of Environmental Affairs as a Program Coordinator. As a Program Coordinator, Ms. Ford worked on the roll out of Massachusetts' Watershed Initiative. Her work on the Initiative included regional planning, permitting and policy planning based on a watershed model.
 
Heather recieved her J.D. from Boston University and her Bacheror's from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
