Jamie Solland is currently a Corporate Responsibility (CR) Advisor at Cenovus Energy, a Canadian oil company focused on in-situ oil sands operations. Cenovus is considered a global leader with respect to CR performance and has a proven track record of low-cost operations and implementing new ideas and approaches, safely and responsibly. In her current role Jamie works with groups across Cenovus to manage non-financial risk and actively enables the consistent application of the company's CR policy across the day-to-day operations of the business.
Jamie has been with Cenovus Energy, and its predecessor company Encana Corporation, since 2004. She brings a varied perspective to the area of CR. Before joining the corporate responsibility team in 2012, Jamie began her career in mineral land acquisitions and divestments. Jamie's skillset also includes significant experience in operations regulatory and environment, where she participated in EHSR and pipeline integrity audits as well as oversaw disturbance assessments for oil sands operations. Jamie also participated in a four month secondment to the United Way of Calgary in 2011.
Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Calgary and an MBA from Queen's University. She is an active community member volunteering her time at a variety of agencies around Calgary.
