Joe Bauer is the Director of Environmental, Safety, and Health Programs for Texas Instruments Incorporated. Joe has over 34 years of experience in the environmental area. He started his career as a project manager and hydrologist at Parsons where led
remediation projects at large industrial sites and federal facilities. After over 20 years in the consulting business, Joe started work at Texas Instruments leading their environmental liabilities remediation program to now leading a team of functional
program leads and subject matter experts in various areas of environmental and safety. His team’s focus areas are sustainability, including GHG emissions reductions, water conservation, and waste reduction; environmental remediation; equipment
safety; and manufacturing robotics and automation.
In addition to managing the ESH Programs, Joe is the primary lead and sponsor for the recruiting of Interns and new college graduates in ESH for TI. Joe is also an emeritus Member of the Group Technical Staff at TI and was the Chair of the ESH Technical Staff Council. The TI Tech Ladder is a technical career path with increasing levels of responsibility and influence the company’s technical direction. The Tech Ladder program fuels innovation, supports business goals and provides recognition opportunities for TI’s top technical talent.
Joe has a Bachelor of Science in Hydrology and Water Resources from Tarleton State University.
