As the Director of Health and Safety for Danone North America, John Frankenberger leads Health and Safety innovations and initiatives for the public benefit corporation, supporting Danone’s mission and values while providing critical leadership and support of company efforts promoting the health, safety and well-being of people associated with operations inclusive of nearly 6,000 employees across 29 manufacturing and office locations in the US and Canada. In his role, he enables and empowers the organization through people-centric efforts in areas including leadership training and development, behavior-based safety, proactive safety management and safety culture development strategies, in addition to providing support and guidance on technical risk management, regulatory compliance and injury prevention programs and standards.
John is a passionate EHS Professional with over 15 years of experience across multiple industries. Prior to joining Danone in 2011, John held EHS and related roles of increasing accountability with Fortune 100 companies in the Warehousing & Distribution and Retail industries.
He holds a B.A. in Organizational Studies from Arizona State University.
John is proud to call Utah home and currently resides in West Jordan with his wife, Carrie, and daughter, Sophia. Being avid explorers, hikers and adventurers, John and his family values, protects and regularly enjoys the natural resources and outdoor riches throughout the west.
