Currently, Mr. Ingram serves Symantec's Global Security Office as the Strategy and Business Operations Manager. Responsibilities include Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Management, Talent Management, Vendor Management, Fixed Asset Control, Intranet and SharePoint Administration, support to the Ergonomics program, Security and Safety Audit/Assessment process and Global Physical Security and Safety projects.
From February 2014 to 2017 John lead the Health and Safety function for Symantec Americas (North, Central and South America). He provided leadership and on-the-ground support within the safety discipline at Symantec Americas as well as supporting the overall Corporate Security and Safety departmental strategy, budgeting, travel and training.
Prior to Symantec, John served as Senior Vice President for ACE American Insurance Company from February 2000 until February 2014. He led the Health, Safety and Environmental Services division, which provides innovative and effective consulting services that enable clients to strengthen their bottom line globally. His global team consisted of a group of over 150 professionals, field HSE consultants and specialty engineering such as; ergonomists, auditors, environmentalists, transportation specialists, certified industrial hygienists, construction engineers, and environmental health laboratory facilities. He has served as a Director of Hygienetics Environmental Services, Inc., Director of ESIS Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd in Singapore, Director of ESIS, Inc. Malaysia Branch and Chairman of Board of ACE Environmental Health and Safety Consulting (Shanghai) Company Limited in China.
Mr. Ingram had been with ACE-INA since 1980, serving most recently as the managing director of specialty risk control products and services. Prior to that he served as director of loss control casualty services and has held other management positions in the organization. He began his career in 1980 as a field engineer with the Insurance Company of North America in Boston.
Mr. Ingram is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, National Fire Protection Association & National Safety Council. He served on ASTM E50 on Environmental Assessment, Risk Management and Corrective Action, ASTM E53 on Property Management Systems, ASTM E54 on Homeland Security Applications, ASTM E56 on Nanotechnology, ASTM F23 on Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment and ASTM F26 on Food Service Equipment.
Mr. Ingram holds degrees in Electronics Engineering, Safety and Health Sciences and Business Management. Mr. Ingram is a Certified Ergonomics Manager and a Certified Safety Executive.
