Mr. Kumm is a senior chemical/environmental engineer with over 40 years of professional experience. He joined EA in 1999, where he is responsible for managing complex regulatory compliance projects for industry and government. John is EA’s Technical
Chief for Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability and his current responsibilities include several projects involving management of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) contaminated media, using high-temperature thermal treatment.
John graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Engineering Management, and from The Johns Hopkins University with advanced degrees in Environmental Engineering. He is a registered Professional Environmental Engineer (PE), Board Certified in Air Pollution Control (BCEE) and a Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P).
