Joseph Freeman is Senior Vice President of Risk Control at Beecher Carlson, a large account risk management broker. As such, he is responsible for coordinating pre-loss accident prevention and regulatory compliance services directed to the specific needs of clients. His career began with several years as a safety specialist in private industry. He joined the insurance industry in 2002 as a risk control consultant with Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he held a variety of risk control positions with the carrier, including District Consultant, Regional Consultant, and Regional Risk Control Manager.
In his role at Beecher Carlson, Joseph demonstrates expertise in the transportation, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing industries, helping clients to identify cost-drivers associated with their casualty risk management programs and to develop and to implement processes to minimize those costs. This includes services in a broad range of areas, including: cost allocation and performance measurement, Risk Management programs and procedures, client-specific training modules, Risk Management program auditing, site safety evaluation, ergonomic assessment, OSHA compliance assessment, driver safety, and others. He also acts as an advocate for clients and coordinates the services provided by insurer loss control personnel.
Joey earned a Bachelor of Science, Occupational Safety & Health from Murray State University. He holds the professional designations of Certified Safety Professional and Certified Driver Trainer through the North American Transportation Management Institute.
