Kim joined Indorama Ventures (IVL) in January 2020 as Director of Environment, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) of IVL’s Integrated Oxides and Derivatives, a new vertical that comprises (i) the Chemical Intermediates and Surfactants business acquired from Huntsman Corporation in January 2020, (ii) IVL’s legacy Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol business acquired from Old World in 2012 and (iii) IVL’s recently commissioned 440,000 ton/year ethane cracker in Westlake, LA. In April 2022, she was promoted to VP of EHSQ, Sustainability & Regulatory Affairs as part of the integration of the newly acquired Oxiteno business.
Kim brings 30+ years of chemical industry experience with a variety of progressive roles in EHSQ. She began her career in 1992 as an Environmental and Safety Coordinator for a hazardous waste management company. She then joined elf Atochem (now Arkema) as an Environmental Engineer where she expanded her health, safety, process safety and environmental responsibilities for 20 years, culminating in the Director of Industrial Safety, Americas.
Kim joined Huntsman in 2018 managing the environmental, health and safety at the large flagship site on the US Gulf Coast at Port Neches, Texas.
Kim holds certifications as both a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). She earned Masters (M.S.) and Bachelors of Science (B.S.) degrees in Occupational Safety and Health from Murray State University. Kim is currently based in The Woodlands, TX.
