Laura Eckert manages environmental compliance for Tate & Lyle’s manufacturing and office/lab locations. This includes 28 locations globally where she provides environmental compliance support related to permitting and reporting, and tracks progress against
sustainability targets. She also participates in corporate audits and assists with due diligence activities for potential acquisitions.
Previously, she worked at Ecolab as their Environmental Program Manager, within the Global Supply Chain division, where she had responsibility for over 100 manufacturing plant locations globally. In her prior role at Ecolab, she was the Audit Program Manager, within Corporate SHE, where she coordinated audits at over 120 manufacturing plant locations and 20 research and developments facilities in 50 countries. Prior to Ecolab, she worked at various environmental consulting firms where she managed due diligence projects, audit programs, and provided compliance assistance services.
Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Purdue University – West Lafayette. She is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois and Wisconsin, a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA), and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
Laura has been a member of NAEM since 2010 and joined the Board of Regents earlier this year.
Laura currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and two kids. She enjoys beach vacations, boating on the lake, and playing golf.
