Lawren Townsend

Lawren Townsend is an environmental sustainability manager at PepsiCo. She received her B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Environmental Science and an MPH from the University of Michigan in Environmental Health Science and Industrial Hygiene. She works on a variety of sustainability projects such as product carbon footprinting, publishing internal newsletters and reports, and integrating sustainability decision-making into all PepsiCo innovation. In addition, she is the founding member and co-chair of PepsiCo Green, an employee grassroots team that raises awareness, incites action, and ingrains environmental sustainability into the way business is done. Lawren tries to live what she teaches. She and her husband are building the first LEED-certified house in Huntsville, Alabama. They both love the outdoors and do what they can to lessen their impact on the environment.
