Luis Sanchez excels at leading large scale culture change initiatives. He works with global clients to reshape their safety climates by designing effective behavior-based safety systems and leadership development processes based on their needs.
He specializes in designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training interventions for individuals at every organizational level to support stronger safety performance and organizational functioning. A skilled and passionate educator, Luis teaches the foundational concepts of Behavior Accident Prevention Process' (BAPP') technology, as well as transformational leadership skills and safety best practices for leaders.
Luis is an experienced personnel coach who supports the development of safety leaders by teaching the application of transformational leadership behaviors in their daily work. He also has extensive experience implementing technical as well as professional and organizational development solutions, including competency performance processes.
Luis has led successful client transformations all around the world, in industries that include agriculture, automotive, chemicals, construction, consumer products, food and beverage, glass, industrial machinery, metals, petroleum, plastics, services, and utilities.
Prior to joining BST, Luis was an entrepreneur, establishing several profitable training organizations in Lain America. He has 12 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, where he was a foundry plant manager, aid nine years of experience as a corporate performance improvement consultant, servicing several major manufacturing companies.
Luis earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering from MIT, a master's degree in heat transfer engineering from London University, and a bachelor's degree in energy engineering from Universidad Metropolitana in Mexico. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
