Marc Hendon serves as Risk Manager for Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) Corporate Safety Office. Marc earned his Masters of Science from California State University, Northridge where he currently serves as Advisory Board Member to the University’s Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. He began his career in 1999 at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena as a Health and Safety Engineer. In 2001, Marc was hired by LADWP to serve as Industrial Hygienist during which time he attended law school and earned his Juris Doctorate. He is a member of the California State Bar as well as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Marc currently oversees a team of Industrial Hygienists and Safety Engineers that provides services throughout LADWP’s network of facilities and projects. The efforts of his team were integral to LADWP’s achievement of the United States Green Building Council’s Sustainable Innovation award for Indoor Air Quality as well as Electrical Power Research Institute Technology Transfer Awards for Heat Stress Management and Ergonomic Interventions.
