Martin (Marty) Healy is the Enterprise Environment, Health & Safety Business Leader for W. L. Gore and Associates, where he has worked for more than 25 years. His primary responsibility is to ensure the EHS/Environmental Responsibility function is aligned with the Enterprise strategic objectives and goals and to monitor and plan for EHS related emerging risks/opportunities that could have broad Enterprise wide impact.
In Gore’s unique “Lattice” organizational structure, there are no titles, hierarchy, or assigned authority. Influence, relationships, and consensus building is used to drive change. In leading the Environmental Responsibility initiative, leveraging the organizational culture by identifying the value to different stakeholders is key.
Prior to joining Gore, he served as Deputy Director of Industrial Hygiene for the U.S. Navy Medical Command/Navy Environmental Health Center.
Mr. Healy has more than 35 years of experience in EHS. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health from Old Dominion University; a Master of Health Science in Occupational Safety and Health from The Johns Hopkins University; and a Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional.
