Melissa is the Senior Manager - HSE Non-Retail at CVS Health. Melissa served 9 years in the United States Army; starting as a Military Intelligence Analyst and transitioning to a Kiowa Warrior Helicopter Pilot-in-Command. Melissa deployed to Iraq and
Afghanistan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. In addition to combat missions, Melissa was responsible for the organizational safety program.
Currently, Melissa is a full-time safety professional at CVS Health and an Adjunct Instructor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she teaches aviation safety, safety program management, and human factors in flight. She is also an OSHA authorized outreach trainer for general industry and Certified Safety Professional. Previous work experience includes a Senior Consultant for Centurion Solutions where she worked with clients on security and safety.
After receiving her Master of Science from Eastern Kentucky University in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, Melissa completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. In addition to numerous military awards and honors, to include Combat Action Badge, Air Medals, Army Commendation Medals, and Army Achievement Award; Melissa has been featured in GI Jobs, Dallas CEO Magazine, and various conferences as Keynote Speaker.
