Sam Waldo is Director of EHS & Support Services at Amphenol Corp., the world’s second-largest manufacturer of electronic interconnect products, headquartered in Wallingford, Conn. His primary responsibilities include overall corporate oversight of EHS, Sustainability and Social Responsibility activities at Amphenol’s 145 operations, managing past practices remediation sites and EHS due diligence on mergers and acquisitions projects. He also acts as liaison between executive management and worldwide operations on Sustainability and Product Compliance issues.
Mr. Waldo has been with Amphenol for the past 27 years and has worked in the environmental field for 39 years, implementing major environmental programs as a regulator and for industry. Prior to joining Amphenol in 1987, Sam worked for the Virginia State Water Control Board and for Raytheon Company. He has also has served as President and Vice President of the Land Trust in his home town, which manages approximately 540 acres of open space and farmland.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the College of William and Mary and an Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the College of Engineering at Virginia Tech.
