Sandy is the Director of Safety Center of Excellence in the Global Safety and the Environment organization at Merck & Co. Inc., a worldwide pharmaceutical company. Sandy is responsible for the corporate safety programs related to Process Safety Management, High Risk Work, Emergency Response, Life Safety and Loss Prevention. During her 30 year career at Merck, Sandy worked in Manufacturing Operations and Site Safety and the Environment before moving to her current global safety position at Merck headquarters in Kenilworth, N.J. Sandy's experience is in the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of safety and environmental programs at multi-divisional (research, manufacturing, corporate) facilities.
Sandy earned her Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
