Tony Ewing is an environmental, health and safety manager in 3M's Advanced Materials Division with over twenty five years of experience. Proven talents for being able to develop strategy, research, troubleshoot, analyze, and provide effective recommendations for a safer work environment. He is fully committed to zero incident culture for safety and environmental incidents and has experience in managing multiple facilities and with direct reports. Specific strengths include strategic direction, acquisition sites, alignment between multiple businesses, project management, training, mentoring, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Tony Ewing was with Ceradyne, Inc. when acquired by the 3M company in late 2012. Previous to 3M., Tony worked with corporate executives on at least 4 different acquisitions while serving as EHS Director for Ceradyne North American Operations. Tony has worked in a variety of manufacturing environments including Trane which was acquired by Ingersoll Rand in 2008 and International Paper which acquired numerous companies during his tenure with the organization. Tony has the unique experience of seeing both sides of acquisitions, the effects on culture, EHS staffing, regulatory compliance, and other positive and challenging aspects of the process.
Tony has an BBA in Marketing and a MS in Loss Prevention and Safety from Eastern Kentucky University.
