Rudolfo von Borstel is the Environmental Director for LatAm at Cargill, where he leads the efforts to provide regional leadership and apply subject matter knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance, pollution prevention and sustainability.
Rudolfo has 15 years of experience in the corporate environmental field in Brazil, and joined Cargill in 2006. During his years in Cargill, he worked in a variety of roles in the environmental field serving different Cargill business (e.g. meats, starches & sweeteners, soybean, cocoa, bioindustrial, etc.). He currently serves all Cargill business in the LatAm region after previously being responsible for the South America region.
He holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and an M.B.A. in Management and Environmental Technology from the University of Sao Paulo. He is also the founder of an EHS Group Leaders of Latin America (regional professionals and leaders of large and EHS-lead companies) to network and share best practices. Rudolfo lives in Brazil with his family.
